I felt a little bit like a kid on the first day of school, but yes, I did go back to work this week. It was good to go back; I am feeling good and optimistic about getting back on track with my life.
I had the PET/CT scan last Thursday, so now I am just waiting for results. My doctor's appointment is next Thursday, Oct 4th, so I don't expect to have any other news before then.
That's a short update for me; we're just in a holding pattern for the next week.
If you can, please take a look at my post about people who could use extra support, thoughts and prayers, especially for my Aunt Penny and my cousins as they are getting through a very difficult week after the sudden illness and death of my Uncle Dom.

I'm so glad to hear that you were feeling well enough to go back to work this week! Thank God! Not that it's ever pleasant to HAVE to get up and go to work every day, but to be ABLE TO really is a blessing in itself. Whodathunkit, right!?!?
I am in awe of people like you, who are battling a life threatening disease, yet can still see beyond their dire situation to show compassion and support others who are also in need. I've never met you but don't know need to in order to know that you are one amazing woman. May you be surrounded with blessing after blessing in reward for your kindness of heart toward others. I will hold your loved ones up in prayer during their time of difficulty.
Likewise, I will continue to hold you up in prayer and look forward to hearing the results of your scan results next week.
